A solution that gives smallholder farmers a soil reading in fifteen minutes, replacing the fourteen day laboratory wait.

Rhea Soil Health is a Kenyan agritech venture building portable soil testing technology that gives smallholder farmers fast, affordable access to the data they need. Traditional laboratory testing is slow, expensive and largely out of reach across East Africa, and a fourteen day wait usually means the planting window has closed before the results arrive.
Rhea's device delivers a reading in the field in fifteen minutes, distributed through a growing network of trained agronomist agents who bring the testing to farming communities rather than waiting for farmers to come to a laboratory.
Co founded by Priscilla Wakarera, a soil scientist and CEO, and Soinato Leboo as COO, Rhea joined the Brainforest portfolio through our Summer Venture Program Cohort #7.
