Do you have a fresh and scalable idea which tackles one (or more) of the following: ​

Commercialization, Marketing, and Sales

  • Tackling issues related to ineffective value chains and middlemen.

  • Implementing quality control, traceability and assurance that can meet policy, regulations and consumer requirements

  • Developing strategic marketing, consumer awareness, and conviction-building strategies.

  • Creating links between consumer demand and production strategies

Financial Mechanisms

  • Tackling issues related to ineffective value chains and middlemen.

Access to Knowledge, Professional Empowerment and Capacity Building

  • Enhancing diversity of locally sound, context-dependent species, practices, and products.

  • Promoting the implementation from research and science-based applications.

  • Providing professional training to meet regional and global food quality standards and regulations

  • Overcoming shortcomings in certification processes both at production sites and the consumer end.

Food Production, Processing, Harvesting, Storage, and Transportation

  • Building capacity for landscape management and infrastructure.

  • Addressing manpower shortages.

  • Improving productivity, viability, and efficiency in food production, storage, and transportation

  • Creating infrastructure solutions to delivering products from food-forest systems in challenging, rural regions

Get a taste of a priviledged relationship with a Brainforest venture builder during our 8 week program to get your idea off the ground.

Initial Funding

Upon successful incorporation of a venture, Brainforest provides initial capital and together, we raise impact investment funds.

Access to our network

Our experts include unicorn founders, Nobel prize winners, multi-national NGOs and leading corporates.

Founder Compensation

If selected as our next venture, you will become an Entrepreneur In Residence (EiR) with a living stipend for 6 months to get a high-impact venture off the ground.

Food Lab program

For passionate (or aspiring) entrepreneur/ecological experts who wants to build/scale solutions connected to regenerative food forests.

Application

Ideas will be submitted from September 27th to October 25th, 2023

Cohort Selection Process

The best ideas will be selected for the 7-week program until the 27.10.2023

7 Week Program

Starting at the 30.10.2023 we go for 7 weeks to develop the concept further. The objective will be to prepare a full pitch for Brainforest's panel of experts.

Final Selection

The participants will pitch their venture idea to Brainforest’s panel of experts between the 18.-21.12.2023. The jury will select 1 to 2 projects which will be integrated into Brainforest as the next Food lab venture!
